UK Tourism Board Visit Britain is inviting travel agents to attend a three-day UAE sales mission from 19-21 February.

The event, to be held in association with British Airways, will take place at JW Marriott Marquis and Hilton Abu Dhabi and 15 UK suppliers are expected to attend.

Travel agents from across the UAE are invited the attend the event which is designed to promote ties and business between UK travel trade partners and the travel trade in the UAE.

In a statement Visit Britain said: "Although use of the Internet for planning and booking is on the rise, travel agents remain an extremely important player in the region.  The annual sales mission allows participants to engage with travel trade, research trends and gain their loyalty.  This event allows UK suppliers to visually present their products and services and close sales with a captive audience."

"In the lead up to the long summer summer break and the school holidays, the annual sales mission is the perfect opportunity to promote holiday destinations and sell tour packages and attractions from the United Kingdom."

The event takes place in JW Marriott Marquis in Dubai on Tuesday 19 February, and will transfer to Abu Dhabi Hilton on Wednesday 20 February.
